Course Overview

QSFT’s Certificate III in Screen and Media – High School Program (CUA31020) provides senior High School students with the opportunity to complete a nationally recognised qualification that provides the fundamental skills necessary to work in the film and television industry.

 

This program brings out the creative abilities needed in the new digital media platforms as well as in the conventional web applications used to engage customers in the competitive online world.

 

QSFT’s Certificate III in Screen and Media – High School Program (CUA31020) is designed for those eager to pursue a career in the challenging yet exciting film and television industry.  Over this 12 months course, high school students will learn basic production skills.

 

Upon completion, QSFT students will be competent to perform the following tasks:

  • Camera & Lighting Operation and Assisting
  • Editing
  • Sound Recording
  • Production Coordination

Once completed, students who wish to further develop their skills to enhance their career prospects, they are encouraged to undertake areas of study from the Diploma of Screen and Media course.

Scholarship

The Queensland School of Film and Television (QSFT) offers Scholarship for students wanting to undertake the Certificate III in Screen and Media – High School Program.

 

The scholarship is for full-time participants of the courses and cannot be transferred or extended. If the student is unable to complete the program within the allocated time and wishes to complete the program past the full time course period, the remaining subjects will be at the student’s own cost.

 

The Scholarship is not redeemable for cash or any other forms of credit.

 

Eligibility

To be eligible you need to:

  • Enrolled in Certificate III in Screen and Media – High School Program
  • Completed year 10 study
  • Be an Australian Citizen/resident
  • Provide Expression of Interest (up to 300 words)
  •  Undertaken media related subjects

 

Applications for the scholarship will only be accepted if you have met all the above criteria.
